About David and Brittney

David and Brittney met in the fall of 2004, they became husband and wife in 2007, and started ministering together in 2011.

We are Christians. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and that his death and resurrection has changed everything, including us.  We are Reformed Christians because we find that the Reformed view of things corresponds with the message of scripture.  We also find it to be intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually satisfying. Most of what we personally believe is summed up in Our World Belongs to God. (Text: http://goo.gl/zqBES)

We created this blog for a few reasons. First, we wanted to put our sermons online. Computers crash, but the internet…. well it hasn’t crashed yet. This blog is our external hard drive. But it is also a good forum for spreading the word. We hope that you will be blessed, challenged, and encouraged as you read or explore our site.

We’ve called our site, Life in the Vine, because of John 15. We both love the image that Jesus offers his disciples in that passage: I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine.
